The all new dEX software has just been released by DataTaker for their current range of data loggers.
dEX is a graphical configuration interface that allows for easy set up of your data logger in the first instance, the ability to view your data real-time in text tables, gauges or trend charts and finally, dEX ensures data retrieval is simple with direct downloads in either secure binary or CSV formats.
dEX is built into the latest firmware (Version 8.02 and above) and freely downloaded from the DataTaker's web site(from mid 2010) for existing users* and is now being shipped in all new data loggers. dEX runs directly in web browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari or Chrome/Epic. It can be accessed via the data loggers USB, RS232 or Ethernet communication ports and the units built-in web server. The dEX software is written in the popular Adobe Flash and one of the major advantages with Adobe Flash Player is that it is cross-platform which means it can be run on various operating systems such as Windows, Mac or Linux.
