What makes the Graphtec data loggers so popular in Australia? To sum it up, we would have to say they are simple to use, not to mention well built and reliable. Graphtec Japan have taken the approach that data logging should be easy and with no requirement to install software on a computer to collect data. The large screen and the keypad on the data logger make this a breeze.

Graphtec blurs the line between data logger and data acquisition.
Most portable data loggers sample slower than once per second, and some of the smaller battery powered units same every minute or slower. This is mainly a balance between on board computing power and battery life, plus a few other engineering aspects that add cost too. The Graphtec GL series blur that line for portable data logging units. The GL240 and GL840 units can sample as fast as every ten milliseconds (10mS) for one analogue channel. The GL980 can sample at a blistering speed of every microsecond (1uS) simultaneously for all eight channels.
