The DataTaker SMSX GSM modem is a great way to remotely communicate with your data logger in the field. Lontek has supplied and installed the SMSX modem on various data logging projects in Australia.
When connected to a dataTaker data logger the SMSX modem allows you to:
- Send SMS messages from the data logger in response to alarms.
- Request information from the data logger by sending a simple SMS message from your mobile phone.
- Set digital output channels ON or OFF.
- Change the alarm phone numbers using simple SMS commands.
- Remotely download data from the data logger.
- Resend alarms to alternative numbers if the message is not received.
