dEX 2
DataTaker's dEX 2 was released in January 2020 and is currently under active development. dEX 2 is a complete new program written from the ground up by the team at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

dEX for Desktop
The Desktop version for dEX was released in 2015 to over come the security issues and pending shutdown of Adobe Flash Player in a web browser. Now running in Adobe Air, the new version of dEX for Desktop was almost identical to the Browser version 9.14 to 9.22. It also leveraged the processing power from the computer which made the operation of dEX a lot faster and smoother.

You will also need to install Adobe Air, although an older version v25.0.0.134. Do NOT update this version as it may result in dEX no longer working correctly.

dEX for Browser
This version of dEX was released in 2010 and is built into the DataTaker DT8x itself. It is accessed via a web browser that could run Adobe Flash Player. There were two versions of this dEX. Firmware version 8.00 up to version 9.10. Then version 9.14 up to 9.22. Both versions operate in very similar ways, just with a different look and feel for the interface. The easiest way to communicate with this version of dEX was using the DataTaker's built-in Ethernet port.
Note: Adobe Flash Player is no longer supported and reportedly has security flaws.
DeLogger Software
DeLogger was first released in the 1990's and lasted until 2010 before dEX was released. The two latest versions of DeLogger 4 and DeLogger 5 both come in standard and Pro versions. Both are no longer under active development and you will need your original license to upgrade.
DeLogger 4 can be used with the DT500 series, DT600 series, DT80, DT81, DT85 and DT800 loggers. Windows XP compatible only, although there has been some good success with Windows 10 from mid 2017 onward.

DeLogger 5 is only for the DT80, DT81, DT85 and DT800 loggers. Windows XP and Windows Vista compatible only. You can get it to work on Windows 7 and again Windows 10, but there may be issues.
