Dent PowerScout PS-3 and PS-18

Dent PowerScout3The DENT’s PowerScout™ Series of networked power meters are MODBUS enabled devices that allow monitoring of individual circuits or a complete electrical installation. With the ability to report up to 50 separate parameters via MODBUS, the PowerScout can be used for monitoring or diagnostic applications.

Lontek in conjunction with LabCraft have successfully built various projects using the Dent PowerScout range and the DataTaker DT80 series of data loggers. Code can be found here.

DENT’s patented PhaseChek™ circuitry includes a three LED indicator display that confirms proper CT-to-phase installation. The PowerScout™ automatically adjusts for CT orientation, greatly reducing set-up time and all but eliminating installation errors.

Key Features:

  • Over 50 measured parameters for energy measurement, monitoring and diagnostics
  • Three or Eighteen channels for multiple circuit or individual circuit monitoring
  • Single or 3-phase energy monitoring or power meter for sub metering applications
  • Large range of Split Core or Rogowski type current transformers
  • PhaseChek™ LED indicators ensure correct CT orientation during installation
  • Line-Powered; 60-600V Phase-Phase Power Supply (Use on 120/240V, 208/120V, 480/277V, or 580/335V, 380/220 volt services; 50 or 60 Hz
  • Uses an industry standard MODBUS RS485 Communications Protocol
  • Data updates occur every 500 milliseconds

channels. Simply add up to 15 modules to your dataTaker data logger to accommodate the needs of large projects in any environment.

Each channel can be configured to suit the user’s needs and provides flexibility and a cost-effective answer to any project’s data logging needs. You can configure your data logger and CEM20 to transfer live or stored data using a USB stick, a website or using a mobile phone.

This powerful data logger can be used with two isolated or three reference inputs; and supports 20 vibrating wire channels when connected to the dataTaker GeoLogger range (DT80G and DT85G).

DataTaker’s CEM20 is built tough, ready to go anywhere and works in any environment. It is a cost-effective way to expand your data acquisition applications into the future.

DataTaker Upgrade offers Complete Freedom

dataTaker has upgraded its DT80 and DT85 data loggers so you can access data directly using the internet

or a mobile phone via the 3G, NextG or GSM network. Now you are no longer tied to one place. dataTaker’s upgraded models give you the flexibility to access your data from anywhere.

These new data logger models are ideal for observing changes in weather conditions and connect to most types of sensors including SDI-12. Some of the uses for these new dataTakers include monitoring the atmosphere, pollution, temperature, rainfall, and water flow and water turbidity.

The DT80 Series 2 dataTaker’s advanced features include FTP, Ethernet, WEB and USB support. You can directly access your data through a web page or mobile phone network and there is no additional software required to make it work.

An improved Adobe Flash web server interface now supports a graphical dashboard mimic panel for easy data review, a data export facility that supports CSV data format, expanded data logger status information, and online documentation.

Both new models are low powered models with stand-alone options such as solar cells, batteries and external power supplies. Your dataTaker connects using a network device or a modem and can download data to any location you choose. The software included with the data logger makes it easy to configure your programs, analyze your data and view your data using the graphing tools.

The DT80 and DT85 models have the ability to store up to 5 million data points with independent control of the schedule size, and an overwrite mode gives optimal performance and data storage. The new dataTakers give you complete control – copy data to a USB, transfer data by FTP; download as much or little data as you need as often as you like – it is always your choice and that is what the DT80 and DT85 offer you – freedom of choice.
